Ship and releases

Compare exact versions and keep the right test results with each release.

Release the action details and connection together

A release links the action version, its code, device and operating-system support, and test results to the exact app version that includes it.

Before shipping

  • Review changes to the ID, inputs, changes, errors, permissions, and returned results.
  • Confirm the connection calls the intended app service.
  • Compile and test in the actual app target and setup.
  • Run the required checklist in the real Siri, Shortcuts, or other experience.
  • List unsupported connections instead of silently marking them complete.

Keep the history

Keep earlier versions and their test results so the team can understand bugs, support changes, and later usage. A current green result should not erase what was true for an older release.
